Something Every Dad Should Try

Dad and the girls (Gracie, Mackenzie and Piper). As the girls have grown older we have started to take trips together.  Not family trips but Dad and the Girls trips...

"My favorite wetland bog that I hope becomes the Girls favorite wetland bog; and it did not disappoint.  Just look at those leaves!  There were two swans that we also shared the spectacular scenery with."

Don't get me wrong I love family trips and love the times when Mom is along but these trips do not include Mom and allow Dad to have some very special time with his girls.  These trips hold a very special place in my heart and we have so much fun! Gracie is usually our DJ and plays all the songs that we jam to.   The song list is short and sometimes we listen the same song way too many times.   Mackenzie is our photographer and wildlife specialist and I'm the just trying to soak it all in.  We break many of the rules put in place for our every day lives.  For example: we play loud music, we buy and eat lots of sugary candy treats, we go where we want when we want, we get dirty, swim in our clothes, pee in the woods and try and float wherever the breeze takes us.  We become free spirits, adventures that aren't bound; we spit, yell, scream, run, jump and explore! Somewhere along the way we become a Team.  We have fun talks, serious talks, odd jokes and so many laughs.

"I think about how fast the girls are growing up and the number of these trips we have together; these times, memories, conversations and adventures become absolutely priceless."

Our Song List: Copperhead Road, Old Town Road, Centuries, I Can Make Your Hands Clap, All About That Base and Roar

We mowed a trail and enjoyed exploring all kind of this along the path.

Of coarse Piper needed to swim.  Notice Kenzie is getting more and more comfortable with managing that barrel safely.  The girls have been carrying the Red Rider to get used to carrying a gun safely.

We found some chores to do.  Look at that they can work!
Walking on our "Sandy Road" will be something these girls will never forget

We have running water!
